Detectives from Tel Aviv North Police Station concluded a weeks-long undercover operation with the arrest of a 38-year-old Tirat Carmel resident suspected of distributing large quantities of several types of drugs across the Tel Aviv metropolitan area. Police said cocaine, ecstasy and snacks allegedly containing drugs were found in his vehicle.
Tel Aviv District Police’s Operation “Lion’s Roar” led to the arrest of the drug trafficking suspect after an extended undercover investigation. Police arrested him in central Tel Aviv shortly after he allegedly completed another drug transaction.
Several suspected customers who allegedly purchased prohibited substances from him shortly before his arrest were also detained for questioning.
When the operation became overt, officers searched the suspect and his vehicle, which police believe served as a mobile distribution point. Police reported seizing:
- Cocaine and ketamine: More than 270 grams.
- Cannabis and hashish: About 2.2 kilograms of loose cannabis and cannabis oil.
- Party drugs: Dozens of ecstasy tablets, LSD blotters and a substance known as “dosa.”
- Allegedly disguised products: About 250 grams of snacks believed to contain drugs and designed to resemble ordinary food products.
The suspect was taken for questioning at Tel Aviv North Police Station and later jailed. A court extended his detention through April 17, 2026. Police said the suspected distribution network in the Tel Aviv metropolitan area remains under investigation.
