Detectives from Lev Tel Aviv Police Station and Border Police officers raided a compound in Raanana. Police suspect the site was being used as a drug laboratory and a distribution center supplying the Tel Aviv metropolitan area.
Officers conducted a thorough search of the compound and found large quantities of substances suspected to be several types of drugs. Police also seized mobile phones, cash in shekels and foreign currency, and other equipment believed to have been used for distribution.
Police reported seizing:
- 250 kilograms of a substance suspected to be cannabis.
- 37 kilograms of cannabis oil.
- 27 kilograms of a substance suspected to be hashish.
- 15 kilograms of products resembling sweets, including cookies, gummy candy and chewing gum, that police suspect contained cannabis.
Two suspects at the compound – southern Israel residents aged 30 and 36 – were arrested and taken for questioning by Tel Aviv District Police. Police said they would be brought before a court for a hearing.
