A focused operation by Holon Police Station and Border Police led to the arrest of a 53-year-old man. During a search of his home, officers found a starter pistol with a round in the chamber, live ammunition and a supply of prescription medication suspected of being held for drug trafficking.
Officers from Holon Police Station, together with the Tel Aviv Wing of the Border Police, conducted an operation targeting suspected weapons possession and trafficking. Acting under a search warrant, the forces raided a home in Gan Yavne and arrested a suspect in his 50s.
Items Seized During the Raid:
Police said officers found prohibited items and large amounts of cash in several currencies:
- Weapons: A loaded starter pistol with a round in the chamber, a magazine and 17 additional handgun rounds.
- Medication and suspected drugs: 36 packages of the prescription painkiller Percocet, which is considered a dangerous drug when held without a prescription, and four drug-substitute patches.
- Cash: About NIS 6,500, $1,400 and EUR 2,085.
- Three mobile phones suspected of being used to manage the activity.
The suspect was taken for questioning at Holon Police Station. Police said they would ask a court to extend his detention to continue the investigation.
