Officers from Tel Aviv North Police Station arrested a Tel Aviv resident in his 30s after a search of his home in the Ramat HaTayassim neighborhood allegedly uncovered substances suspected to be cannabis and hashish with a combined gross weight of about 9.5 kilograms.
According to police, the search was conducted during the weekend of May 21, 2026, as part of a proactive operation by Tel Aviv North Police Station in the Yarkon Subdistrict. The operation targeted a suspect believed to be holding a large quantity of drugs allegedly intended for distribution.
During the search, officers seized about 9 kilograms gross of a substance suspected to be cannabis and about 500 grams gross of a substance suspected to be hashish.
The suspect was arrested at the apartment and taken for questioning at Tel Aviv North Police Station. He was later jailed and brought before a court, which extended his detention through May 25, 2026.
