Following an investigation by Jaffa Police Station and the Tel Aviv Special Patrol Unit, prosecutors filed a statement against a suspect in his 60s from Holon. He is suspected of possessing drugs not for personal use and trafficking several types of drugs. Courts extended his detention during the investigation, and prosecutors said they intend to file an indictment.
The case began on June 18, 2026, during a proactive operation by the Tel Aviv Special Patrol Unit. Officers stopped the suspect for a routine check while he was driving on Herzl Street in Jaffa. Police said officers became suspicious after noticing a strong odor of a substance believed to be a drug coming from the vehicle.
During a search of the vehicle, officers allegedly found several types of drugs divided into portions. Police reported seizing 35 grams of cocaine, 89 grams of ketamine, 82 hallucinogenic mushrooms, 23 grams of MDMA, 42 MDMA tablets, 72.5 grams of a substance known as “Doctor,” an additional 100 grams of ketamine and 182 grams of cannabis.
The suspect was arrested and taken for questioning at Jaffa Police Station. Police said investigators gathered evidence that included statements from several people who allegedly bought drugs from him on multiple occasions.
After the investigation, the Tel Aviv District Prosecution Unit filed a prosecutor’s statement against the suspect. Prosecutors said they intend to file a serious indictment.
At this stage, the allegations have not been proven, and the suspect is presumed innocent unless convicted by a court.
