Tel Aviv has not forgotten the trauma Israel experienced on November 4, 1995. Three decades after the assassination that shook the country, the city will return to the places where Israeli history took a sharp turn, with a special tour on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at 11:00.
The tour, held as part of the Tel Aviv-Yafo Municipality’s “World City and Tourism Tours,” will follow a route from Ben-Gurion Boulevard to Rabin Square, two locations that tell the story of the country’s journey from Ben-Gurion to the tragedy.
Along the way, participants will pass through the city’s first workers’ neighborhoods and sites connected to David Ben-Gurion’s home, before reaching Rabin Square, where the prime minister’s life was cut short in an event that became a symbol of national rupture.
The tour will explore Rabin’s character, the meaning of the assassination and the way it continues to shape public and social discourse in Israel.
Tel Aviv, the city where Rabin was shot, has chosen to mark the date not with a state ceremony, but with a quiet walk of remembrance. The tour connects past and present, the physical places where the events unfolded and emotions that have yet to heal.
