The audio-theatrical tour “Tul Aviv” will take place at Bialik Square on Monday, June 29, 2026, in two sessions at 19:00 and 21:00. Participants follow a route between the square’s five cultural institutions using headphones, a narrative audio play and live encounters with actors from the Library Theatre.
The tour is led by a pampered, elitist Tel Aviv cat played by Yonatan Barak. Between audio segments, actors appear along the route to bring the city’s legendary cafés back to life and recreate Bialik’s 1909 ball.
The texts combine material from the printed press, Haim Nahman Bialik’s essay “What Should Be Done to Improve Tel Aviv?” and his work “Behind the Fence.” The route passes through the Tel Aviv-Yafo City Museum, Bialik House, Liebling Haus, Reuven Rubin House and Felicja: House of Sound Art.
The theatrical version was created by Alexa Lerner and Or Matza, and created and directed by Maya Buenos. The cast includes Liraz Rishoni, Alona Raviv, Noy Dror, Shir Abutbul, Eden Kaslasi, Ron Shuster and Ofir Ravid.
The tour lasts around 75 minutes, is accompanied by a guide and is recommended for ages 12 and older. Tickets cost NIS 120, or NIS 75 for DigiTel members. Purchase tickets through the Tel Aviv-Yafo Municipality website.
