Police officers and Border Police troops raided an apartment on Gadish Street in south Tel Aviv, where they seized substances suspected to be drugs, surveillance cameras, an airsoft pistol and more than NIS 40,000 in cash. A 24-year-old suspect was arrested.
Officers from the Tel Aviv South police station in the Ayalon District, together with Border Police troops from the Internal Security Brigade, searched a residential apartment on Gadish Street in south Tel Aviv and arrested a 24-year-old suspect.
The search was carried out as part of a proactive operation and under a court warrant. During the operation, officers seized substances suspected to be various types of drugs, recording and surveillance equipment, an airsoft pistol and a large amount of cash.
Items seized included an airsoft pistol, two magazines, pellets and gas canisters, a DVR recording system, a computer and five security cameras. Police alleged that the cameras were pointed toward public areas and neighboring homes in violation of the law.
Police also found about 350 ml of concentrated liquid suspected to be a khat-based drug, about 288 grams gross of a substance suspected to be cannabis, and three units of a substance suspected to be Kamagra. More than NIS 40,000 in cash was also seized.
The suspect was arrested and taken, along with the seized items, for further questioning at the Tel Aviv South police station. Police are expected to ask the court to extend his detention depending on developments in the investigation.
