A festive run of broadcasts brings together classics from the past and stars of the present: a tribute to Yair Rosenblum, a presidential guest in Haim Cohen’s kitchen, a “Checkout” special and a nostalgia marathon selected by the Israeli public.
Kan’s Independence Day Eve broadcasts will open with “The Melody Always Rises,” a tribute marking 30 years since the death of Yair Rosenblum. Hosted by Rivka Michaeli and Roni Koban, the show will feature a lineup of artists performing his enduring songs. On Independence Day itself, the channel will present a special nostalgia marathon marking 90 years of public broadcasting, featuring episodes and programs selected by viewers, from “Lul” to “Zehu Ze.”
