Detectives from the Jaffa police station uncovered a drug lab in an apartment on Nir David Street in Rishon LeZion over the weekend, seizing more than 140 kilograms of material suspected to be the drug known as “Doctor.”

The substance, found in various forms, was allegedly intended for distribution. Detectives searched the apartment under a court warrant as part of a targeted operation.

A 60-year-old man from central Israel who was in the apartment during the search was arrested and questioned at the Jaffa station. He was held in custody, and a court extended his remand until Monday, October 26.

Police said they would continue to target the production, possession and distribution of dangerous drugs.
