Israel Police opened an investigation into a fatal shooting in Herzliya. At around 11:45 p.m., police received a report of gunfire in the area of De Shalit Square.
Medical teams pronounced a man in his 30s dead at the scene. A minor was also injured and taken for medical treatment in moderate condition. Both were residents of Baqa al-Gharbiyye. Police said the shooting was criminally motivated.
Large police forces from the Yarkon Subdistrict and forensic investigators were sent to the scene. Officers began collecting evidence and launched extensive searches for suspects believed to have fled the area.
Tel Aviv District Commander Maj. Gen. Haim Sargarof and Yarkon Subdistrict Commander Brig. Gen. Tzachi Sharabi attended the scene and held a situation assessment with senior officers. Following the assessment, the investigation was assigned to the Tel Aviv District Central Unit.
