The Jusidman Family Foundation will donate 200 million shekels toward construction of the new Reuth Rehabilitation Hospital campus at Sde Dov. The campus will be named the Jusidman Rehabilitation Hospital, and its total construction cost is estimated at approximately $390 million.
The hospital is expected to move from its current location in Yad Eliyahu to the new campus in northwestern Tel Aviv. Construction is scheduled for completion around 2032, with the remaining funding expected to come from municipal, government and private sources.
The campus is planned to include approximately 540 beds, a trauma clinic, an expanded day rehabilitation unit, an imaging institute, a hydrotherapy pool, clinics and institutes, a research and development incubator, and green areas for patients and families. A public housing building with about 250 residential units is also planned next to the hospital.
Yigal Jusidman, a representative of the family foundation, said that “for many years, rehabilitation medicine did not receive its proper place in Israel’s healthcare system.” He said the new campus is intended to expand services for injured people and patients who require prolonged rehabilitation.
Reuth Rehabilitation Hospital has operated for 65 years as an independent public hospital affiliated with the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences at Tel Aviv University. Its current departments include orthopedic and neurological rehabilitation, head injury rehabilitation, geriatric rehabilitation and respiratory rehabilitation, alongside day hospitalization and a post-trauma rehabilitation center.
