Fashion and content house comme il faut is joining forces with the Albi Foundation to host a series of documentary events at its new Levontin complex. The program features four films about activist artists working within, and despite, a deeply polarized reality.
As the public sphere changes and public discourse becomes more violent, comme il faut and the Albi Foundation are launching “Outside the Consensus.” The series will present four documentary films accompanied by conversations with their creators and central figures, seeking to challenge division and create space for solidarity through art.
Films in the Series:
- Hayu Ve’einam: Screening and conversation with director Hilla Medalia. The Oscar-nominated film follows women opposing the war in Gaza who seek to commemorate children killed there. April 29 (Wednesday), 19:30
- Coexistence, My Ass!: Screening and conversation with comedian and activist Noam Shuster Eliassi. Winner of the Jury Prize at Sundance 2025, the film documents five years in the creation of uncompromising political stand-up. May 13 (Wednesday), 19:30
- Know Hope: Screening and conversation with street artist Adam Yekutieli. A rare look at the working process of the “Israeli Banksy” and the moment when personal drama becomes political street art. May 27 (Wednesday), 19:30
- The Smugglers: Screening and conversation with central figure Michel Elrahav and director Tony Copti. A journey through Jaffa exploring the status of Arabic and the struggle to import Palestinian literature. June 17 (Wednesday), 19:30
