A Bat Yam resident in his 30s was arrested on suspicion of involvement in an abduction and assault in Tel Aviv. Tel Aviv Magistrate’s Court extended his detention through October 2, 2026.
Police said they received a report during the afternoon that a person had been assaulted and abducted. Officers from Lev Tel Aviv station arrived at the scene, interviewed witnesses and carried out investigative work that led them to the person reported missing.
Suspect arrested overnight
The suspect was arrested overnight and taken for questioning at Lev Tel Aviv station. Investigators are examining whether the incident was connected to a dispute between people involved in criminal activity.
The investigation is ongoing. Police said additional arrests are expected.
