During Passover, while police were operating under Operation “Lion’s Roar” amid missile fire toward the Tel Aviv District, Yarkon Subdistrict officers arrested 10 suspects in several separate property crime cases.
In the Tel Aviv North Police Station area, two northern Israel residents in their 50s were arrested on suspicion of stealing trailers and a vehicle containing surfing equipment from the southern section of HaTzuk Beach. Police located the stolen property and took the suspects for questioning. In another case, a 33-year-old Raanana resident was arrested after allegedly being caught driving a vehicle stolen from north Tel Aviv, which was located in a Sharon region community. Two additional suspects, one from northern Israel and one from southern Israel, were arrested near a business that had been broken into at a shopping center in northern Tel Aviv. Police said they found a crowbar believed to have been used in the break-in.
In the Glilot Police Station area, a 22-year-old Ramallah resident was arrested on suspicion of stealing a vehicle from central Ramat Hasharon. In another case handled by the station, two residents of the Palestinian territories, one a minor and the other an adult, were arrested in Herzliya after allegedly being caught inside a vehicle. Police said they had equipment used for vehicle theft, including an advanced ignition computer.
Lev Tel Aviv Police Station also received a report of a business break-in. Following a rapid investigation, officers arrested a 42-year-old Lod resident on suspicion of the break-in. In another case during the holiday, a 27-year-old Rishon LeZion resident was arrested while allegedly breaking into a vehicle in a central Tel Aviv parking lot.
Israel Police said it would continue taking action against people suspected of property offenses, including efforts to locate and arrest them and pursue legal proceedings.
