Police, rescue teams and Home Front Command personnel are working at the scene after part of a building collapsed on Merhavia Street in Jaffa. Authorities said the collapse was not connected to a security incident or missile strike.
Three people with injuries of varying severity were evacuated from the scene. Large emergency teams are continuing searches to rule out the presence of additional casualties. Nearby buildings were evacuated because of a possible further collapse, and all roads leading to the scene were closed.
The public was asked to stay away from the area so emergency teams could continue their work.
