An evening devoted to singer Esther Ofarim will take place at Enav Cultural Center on Monday, November 9, 2026, at 8pm. The program combines the documentary “Esther,” a conversation with director Shaked Goren and a live tribute to Ofarim’s songs.

Built around phone calls between Goren in Tel Aviv and Ofarim in Hamburg, the film explores the singer’s life and the geographical and emotional distance between them. The 2026 Israeli documentary is in Hebrew and German, runs 60 minutes and won the directing and editing awards at Docaviv 2026.

Goren will speak after the screening. Singer Tom Cohen will close the evening with Ofarim’s songs, accompanied by guitarist Yonatan Keret. The film was produced by Ayelet Kait and Amir Harel, and the screening is courtesy of yes Docu.

Tickets cost NIS 50. The event takes place at Enav Cultural Center, 71 Ibn Gabirol Street. Paid parking is available at Gan Ofer car park, with blue-and-white curbside parking on nearby streets subject to local parking rules. Details and tickets, in Hebrew.
