A foreign national in his 40s was arrested on suspicion of smashing the windows of police cars and a Magen David Adom ambulance in south Tel Aviv. Police found a hammer on him that they believe he used to break the windows.

On the night of October 24-25, police received a report that a man was smashing the windows of police cars and an ambulance parked on Kibbutz Galuyot and La Guardia streets. Detectives from the Jaffa police station, working with MDA crews, tracked down and arrested him shortly afterward.

He was questioned at the Jaffa station and held in custody. He was to be brought before a court on the evening of October 25 for a remand hearing.

Police said they take any attack on police and emergency vehicles seriously and have zero tolerance for anyone who targets security and rescue personnel or their property.
