On Sunday, October 25, the Tel Aviv District Attorney’s Office filed a prosecutor’s statement, a notice of intent to indict, against a 38-year-old man from the greater Tel Aviv area suspected of assaulting a Wolt courier in Savyon. The courier was allegedly attacked with various weapons and beaten all over his body, leaving him moderately injured.

Police received a report of a brawl on HaMevo’ot Street in Savyon at around 4:40 p.m. on August 16. Officers from the Mesubim station and the Tel Aviv District’s Central Unit arrived to find the courier injured. He was taken for medical treatment, and Magen David Adom described his condition as moderate. Police determined that the incident was criminally motivated.

The suspect fled before officers arrived. Central Unit investigators identified him early in the investigation, and the Tel Aviv Magistrate’s Court issued a warrant for his arrest. After an extensive search, Central Unit officers located and arrested him on October 13.

The Tel Aviv Magistrate’s Court extended his detention several times, and the prosecutor’s statement was filed once the investigation was completed. An indictment on serious charges is expected in the coming days, along with a request to hold him in custody until the end of legal proceedings.
